Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984, on the island of Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. The comedian has appeared featured on QI together with Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) more popularly known as Aisling Bea is an Irish actor, writer and comedian. Bea was first able to make a name for herself in stand-up comedy in 2011, after playing a few small roles she appeared on Irish and British television dramas from 2009. Following 2012, she was being featured in sketch comedy programs or sitcoms as well as other similar shows. After winning an award at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to be booked regularly for various panel shows where she is now a regular. She has been a part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016 and she is an extremely popular contestant on its spinoff 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Parents are Brian and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. In 2012 she became the second female to receive the So You think That You're Funny award. Bea was given to her to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling Cliodhnadh was born on the 16th of March, 1984 in Kildare Town, County Kildare. Her father Brian was a veterinarian for horses who died at the age of three. Bea was three years old, though she wasn't told about what happened to him until she was 13 years old. She chose the stage name Bea to honor her father who passed away. Bea also wrote an article for The Guardian on her family's suicide story. Bea as well as her sister Sinead was raised with Helen Moloney (n e Moloney) an ex-jockey as well as a teacher at a secondary school. Their family was in love with horses and race meetings. Bea was a child a Tour Guide in the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she didn't want the racing industry. Instead she loved the performance arts.
